Event revue - April 9, 2017
On possibly the coldest and wettest day of the decade (well that's how if felt), 85 competitors and their support crews braved the torrential rain and icy winds to take part in our annual combined training day. We are so lucky that our facilities provide safe riding in such bad weather with all dressage tests, show jumping and warm ups on all-weather arenas.
"Wow, what a day! Huge, huge thankyou to our wonderful pony club families who did whatever it took in appalling conditions to make our combined training day a success. When you're soaked to the skin and your hands are blue it's sometimes hard to remember why we do it. Then you see the look of delight on a kid's face when they realise they've jumped clear, or ridden a pearler of a dressage test or won a ribbon or rug. And you realise that's why we do bother."
